
Ryan Kautzer
Mr. Kautzer is a dedicated criminal defense attorney with a special interest in OWI, traffic, drug, and sexual assault offenses.

Attorney Ryan Kautzer is a Sheboygan native. He attended and graduated from North High School. He completed his undergraduate degree at University of Wisconsin - La Crosse where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice. He received his law degree from Drake University Law School in Des Moines, Iowa, with a certificate in Public Service.
As a student at Drake he practiced criminal defense for the Drake Law Clinic under the direction of Attorney/Professor Bob Rigg.
Attorney Kautzer was admitted to practice in the state of Wisconsin and Eastern and Western District of Wisconsin Federal Courts in 2006.
His primary focus is criminal defense litigation with an emphasis in OWI, traffic, drug, and sexual assault offenses. He has an extensive track record of gaining acquittal, dismissal, and amendment to lesser charge through trial and motion work. In addition to defense work, he also serves as the municipal prosecutor for the Village of Elkhart Lake, Town of Rhine, and Town of Lyndon. He continues to practice in family law,with a limited focus on post-divorce and guardian ad litem work. His practice also includes bankruptcy and guardianship (both private and corporate) work.
Attorney Kautzer is a member of the American Bar Association, including the Young Lawyers Division of the ABA. He is also a member of the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and Wisconsin Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He is a member of the Sheboygan County Bar Association and serves as chairman of the Pro Bono Committee. In addition, he served as head of the Legal Aid Clinic in Sheboygan County which provides free legal service to indigent members of the community.
He has been a member of Big Brothers Big Sisters for five years.
